Q: What offerings I can make via EDS (Electronic Donation System)?

A: The following offering can be made via EDS:

• Tithe
•  Combined Offering
• Conference Development
• Church Budget
• Church Expenses
• Ingathering
• Institute Operating
• Donation to Special Project

 

Q:     If I am not affiliated to any local church of Hong Kong, can I register and make offering?

A:       Yes, choose “Other”in Affiliated Church during account registration.

 

Q:     Can the Receipt issued by EDS be used to claim a deduction under Salaries Tax and Profit Tax of Hong Kong

A:       Hong Kong-Macao Conference of SDA is Charitable Organisation under Section 88 of Inland Revenue Ordinance of Hong Kong. Our receipts for donation and offering can be used to claim deduction under Salaries Tax and Profit Tax of Hong Kong.

 

Q:     Which Payment Systems can be used to make offerings and donations to the local churches of HKMC?

A:       You can make offerings and donations via HSBC PayMe and FPS (Fast Payment System).

 

Q:     Which Payment Systems can be used to make offerings and donations to the Chinese Union Mission of SDA or non-church affiliated organisations of HKMC?

A:       You can make offerings and donations via HSBC PayMe, FPS (Fast Payment System), WeChat Pay, Credit Cards (VISA, MasterCard) and UnionPay Cards.

 

Q:   Will any transaction fee be levied to donors for making offerings and donations via HSBC PayMe, FPS (Fast Payment System), WeChat Pay, Credit Cards (VISA, MasterCard) and UnionPay Cards?

A:     WeChat Pay, Credit Cards (VISA, MasterCard) and UnionPay Cards: Card Centre will charge the transaction fee to the donors.

         HSBC PayMe, FPS (Fast Payment System): Payment Systems will charge the transaction fee to our Conference, no transaction fee charged to the donor.

 

Q:     How to get the receipt after making offering or donation via EDS?

A:     The EDS will issue the electronic receipt after making offering or donation, the donor can download the electronic receipt in EDS and save in your own devices.

 

Q:     If I am outside Hong Kong, can I make donation via EDS?

A:     Currently, EDS can be available for the donor in Hong Kong only to make donation or offering. If you are outside Hong Kong, you are advised to make offering or donation through Telegraphic Transfer, the information is as follow:

Q:   Does the EDS need to match the name of account and the name of account holder of the Payment System for making donation or offering?

A:       No. We issue the receipt in the name of EDS account holder.

 

Q:     Can I apply for full refund or amend the offering amount after making the offering via EDS?

A:       Sorry, no amount amendment or full refund can be done via EDS.

 

Q:     How long does the EDS keep my record?

A:       EDS will keep the offering records not less than 7 years.
